Off the stage, American Idol contestant Adam Sanders goes by just that, Adam Sanders. On the stage, the San Antonio native becomes Ada Vox, the first drag queen on any televised American singing competition. Told that his voice didn’t match his song choices, the persona was created to allow Sanders to sing anything and everything he wanted. Only time will tell what audience members will hear when Vox performs at the Pittsburgh Opera on Tuesday.
