American Patriot: Photographs by Charlee Brodsky, Poetry by Jim Daniels, a new body of work, is comprised of photographs by Brodsky of American flags that she finds in residential neighborhoods throughout the southwestern PA region. Daniels’ poems are rousing interpretations of Brodsky’s photos. Through the symbolism of the American flag, their collaboration wrestles with the complexities of life in 21st century America, the meaning of the American flag, and the very nature of patriotism and American values.
