BRITSBURGH FESTIVAL - Through Adversity to the Stars: A Portrait of Trafford Leigh-Mallory

An intimate portrait of renowned British Air Chief Marshal, Sir Trafford Leigh-Mallory, World War II commander-in-chief of the Allied Expeditionary Air Force for the Normandy invasion. His grandson, Trafford "Traff" L.M. Doherty, will share family remembrances of the Air Marshal, as well as of other members of the family, including Traff's well known uncle, mountaineer and Mt. Everest explorer George Mallory; and his mother, Doris Jacqueline "Jackie" Leigh-Mallory Doherty, who served as a captain in the WAAF during World War II and came to the United States as a war bride.
