ACFL&MH welcomes Mai Khôi & the Dissidents for their Carnegie Carnegie debut in the Music Hall, celebrating their album Five Years in Exile. The work reflects Khôi’s first years in the U.S. after fleeing political persecution in Vietnam, blending protest with personal themes of love, nostalgia, and grief across genres from jazz to experimental and pop.
Following the concert, guests are invited to a reception with the artists, featuring refreshments, album purchases, and an opportunity to meet the band.
Mai Khôi is an award-winning singer, composer, and activist recognized internationally for her work at the intersection of art and expression.
