The Holocaust Center of Pittsburgh is proud to share the latest installment in our Generations Speaker Series with Dr. Rebecca Jacobson. Rebecca shares the story of her mother’s family in Poland during the Holocaust, where most were sent to the Warsaw Ghetto and concentration camps.
Through the incredible actions of a non-Jewish upstander, and through luck and ingenuity, her mother and grandparents survived. Rebecca shares their story of survival and of starting a new life. A heart-wrenching tale of suffering and loss, it is also a story of resistance, bravery, and love.
