"Grandpa and Shorty" is a Pittsburgh-filmed drama about a military family trying to repair broken bonds through love and shared values.

The Sewickley-based Lindsay Theater and Cultural Center's next Emerging Filmmakers Showcase screening will be "Grandpa and Shorty," a Pittsburgh-filmed family drama about a gruff Army veteran who is unexpectedly asked to babysit his young granddaughter. The screening will be immediately followed by a Q&A with director Jeff Balmert and writer John Rokosz, both of locally based White Ball Productions. Tickets are free, but RSVPs are encouraged in advance.
