The Head of the Ohio (HOTO) attracts rowers of all ages and abilities including Juniors, Masters, Adaptive, and Collegiate. More than just a rowing race, the Head of the Ohio highlights all aspects of recreation along our riverfront–both on and off the water. The 2-day event draws crews, family, and friends from across the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, and southern Canada. Viewing the race along the Allegheny River is easy. The start takes place midway along Herr's Island, the bridges provide a great overhead view of the course, and the finish takes place near Point State Park near the Ft. Duquesne bridge.
