To promote the upcoming release of her novel about a small town with a big mystery, Jessica Strawser is visiting Penguin Bookshop today for a discussion of her work and a book-signing. Her latest Not That I Could Tell is the tale of a group of moms on a Saturday night of kid-free fun and casual drinking. By Monday, one goes missing. Publishers Weekly calls it “a psychological thriller of the highest order.” A Pittsburgh native herself, Strawser has written for The New York Times and Writer’s Digest, where she’s the editorial director. Her previous book was Almost Missed You, but you shouldn’t miss her. - Lauren Ortego
