Pigeon (III ½)

Based on Anton Chekhov’s The Seagull, Pigeon (III ½) finds itself in the middle of that play's third and fourth act, in a fictitious rethinking by writer Jeremy Lesifko-Bremer. Tonight, it’s being staged at the Steel City Improv Theater, with a cast assembled by the Birch Swinger Ensemble. Putting a contemporary twist on the original 19th century-era production, Pigeon (III ½) explores the endeavors of all the familiar characters: Constance (Konstantin), Masha, Semi (Medvedenko), Boryz (Trigorin) and Nina (Nina) as they search for inspiration and find something unexpected. -LO
