Moderated by Danielle Boyd (YWCA Columbus) with panelists Ralph Bangs (Pitt School of Social Work, retired), Lorraine Cross (B-PEP), and Patrick Fisher (Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council), this conversation examines authoritarianism and its impact on democracy. Panelists will examine how racism and sexism are weaponized by authoritarian power structures. Highlighting censorship and voter disenfranchisement as persistent threats, the discussion will identify strategies to resist authoritarianism and advance a democratic society rooted in peace, justice, dignity, and freedom for all. Live on Zoom; ASL interpretation provided. Participants are encouraged to contribute questions and comments during the discussion. Register at ywcapgh.org/conversations
