Screaming Minerals” is a public performance with participants in our Spring Steiner Visiting Artist Ioana Vreme Moser’s workshop “Sizzling Semiconductors.” Performing together, Ioana and her workshop participants orchestrate screaming tones at the precise touch of a radio-sensitive mineral. The oscillating instruments are made from scratch to investigate the multifaceted history of electronic parts, semiconductive stones, their presence in electronic devices, and environmental decay.
