A documentary by Penn State Beaver professor Juliette Storr followed by a question-and-answer session. Storr, a native of the Bahamas, examines gender equality issues in her native country. The title comes from a cultural expression in the Bahamas that is symbolic of gender performance, especially for girls and women, and is used to “impose punishment and control or authority,” Storr said.
