Supporting Pittsburgh's Refugee Students

City Theatre presents Supporting Pittsburgh's Refugee Students, the first of four interactive workshops dedicated to helping educators understand the cultures, needs, and assets of local refugee communities. Hosted by All for All, a group working to make the region more inclusive, the event will feature Dr. Xia Chao, who, over the past several years, has conducted research on refugee communities, including the Nepali/Bhutanese, Somali Bantu, and Sudanese. The workshop will use Dr. Chao's findings to offer insight into the best approaches to working with students from refugee populations.
