The Light in the Piazza

The Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama takes a musical journey to Italy with a production of The Light in the Piazza. Set in 1953, the show follows an American woman, Margaret, and her daughter Clara as they enjoy a summer in Florence. But when Clara meets and quickly falls in love with a man, long-buried secrets come to the surface. Originally starring opera legend Renée Fleming, the Tony Award-winning hit show will be restaged in the Phillip Chosky Theater at CMU’s Purnell Center for the Arts
