The World War II Hymns of Ralph Vaughan Williams

Uploaded by hridge226

September 3rd is the 80th anniversary of Britain's declaration of war on Nazi Germany. Vaughan Williams, one of the most influential composers of hymns of the 20th century, wrote several hymns to strengthen public morale as the war progressed. They are seldom sung today, but Trinity Cathedral, part of the Anglican Communion, is providing such an opportunity! Following the presentation is a tour of the Cathedral by docent William Kaiser.
