Twenty-five-year-old Soo-Ha’s quiet life in a South Korean seaside village – rhythmed only by visits from her mother, the fishmonger and boyfriend Jun-Ho – is interrupted when Frenchman Yan Kerrand arrives. In the following winter, questions of identity and fragile bonds are awakened through the inquisitive communications between the two.
