World AIDS Day

The World AIDS Day event will take place at Giant Eagle, 6320 Shakespeare St. The event will kick off with a news conference and an interfaith prayer led by the Rev. Caitlin Werth, pastor of Waverly Presbyterian Church, Regent Square. Speakers will include Sean DeYoung, Allies’ CEO, and Dr. Trisha Gadson, CEO of Macedonia Family and Community Enrichment Center Inc. (FACE). Allies and its partners will have information tables set up from noon to 3 p.m., and free HIV, hepatitis C and syphilis testing will be available at the Allies mobile testing van.
